A friend has lent me his ergomo pro power meter on the basis I get it repaired. The screen is blank and not charging and I'm sure many other issues that I need technical assistance on. Does anyone know who the expert in Gauteng is so I can get this thing up and running. Thanks Nick

Hi,

I think your chance of getting it fixed are slim. They are great when they work but notorious for breaking I have had 2). AFIK Ergomo itself went out of business a while back.

The local agent was the bike shop near Kyalami race track (Cycletech Kyalami??), maybe try them.

If its a working display unit / handlebar mounted computer you are looking for you are welcome to come collect mine. I have had 3 x of these and all have packed up - the power meter / BB part of it. 1KTT is correct - local agent used to be Marco from Cycletech in Kyalmi, but when the Ergomo company went bankrupt end of 2009 somewhere he lost interest - understandably ...

Just one thing - have you tried resetting it, properly?

Stick something sharp in the little hole at the back and hold it, but making sure it's fully charged.

Not to say that yours has this problem, it it always worked for me when I had one.

yes that works when the battery has gone completely pap charge it overnight then reset it. the older chargers are known to go after prolonged use. $60 buys you one

Nick, have ergomo Pro that i got with a second hand bike bought, and have the complete unit(working condition) for sale.I commute between CPT and Pta so please feel free to contact me.

I had issue and went to Marco and he recommended that we change to other power meters as he is batling with support from Ergono.
