then i break it all the time ... define 'sidewalk' ... there's remnants of a cycle path that i use on my commute ... if you look closely, you'll see the stripes that separated the lanes. nowadays people walk on it; would that make it a sidewalk, then?

i guess it's still cheaper to pay the R50 fine than to end up in hosptial, ssme as when i look in my rear-view mirror first before stopping at an orange light ... the R1000 fine is cheaper than damage if taxi behind me crash into me

no worries cat, cyclists only got fined pre 1994, I still remember getting my first ticket at age 6 jumpin a red light with my BMX, accompanied by a moerse hiding but hell was worth it none the less.
Im a Alcoholic with a mountain biking problem :\

who stock bells?

rc used to stock a whole range of them, nothing now - that's why i still ride with a dented one :(

and 2 years ago when i piloted a blind tandem for argus, we searched all over for a bell (to use as signal for mor power now, or back down) - nothing at cycleshops 2 weeks before argus, and at the whole expo, not one bell for sale.
Linden Cycles have some nice kiddies "squeakers" shaped like kitties, teddies and so on...

On a serious note, they have the nicest bells I have ever found - from Cateye! I only saw them once and bought two.
Advice is a form of nostalgia. Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Never mind the reflectors and bell. No more wheelies, bunnie hops, truck drafting, sidewalk fun, no hands, and not to mention yielding at red lights!
Not to mention the fast stretch on the R59 from R550 to Vanderbijlpark!
No more fun!

Here is my crime:

Failed to be seated astride
on the saddle of a pedal
cycle when he or she was
riding a pedal cycle

Sometimes I stand up and pedal and sometimes and I stand up and go down hills...
May the 26'ers gang have mercy upon me...
