Ok I hope I don't get shot down here but I'd appreciate some informed input and opinion :)

Do you guys think it possible to do the fun ride portion of the route on this?

Main thing I'm concerned about is that I don't have a front brake, there's only a coaster brake which is apparently prone to overheating and possible failure if used a LOT. And being that the route is all downhill... ummmmm.. what do you think? Or do you think I'll be cruising the downhills and not actually braking a whole lot?

Next option is to wear some old sneakers as a backup and burn the soles up - foot brake!

Hopefully I don't get too many smart comments haha, cos I'm actually pretty keen to do this..

Thanks dudes!

Why the hell not - give it a go!! It has two wheels and pedals, all you need right. I'd be a bit worried about the brake situation - maybe there will be some soft grass or bushes on the side of the road that you can ride into if all else fails ;)

You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good. So, love the people who treat you right & pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down...is a part of LIFE, getting back up is LIVING!

Don't let that profile fool you, ITS NOT DOWNHILL ALL THE WAY. :D What it does not show you is all the short, sharp uphill sections. With a fixed gear you'll have your work cut out, but if you're fit and strong, it's doable. There is one or two sections of fast downhill, but if you do not go in too fast, you should be able to go through them without even touching the brakes. The only section I'll be worried about is where you do the 90 degree left turn underneath the bridge and onto the highway. There is marshalls there that warns you to slow down, so if you take heed, no problem.
Give it a go, I'm sure you'll manage it perfectly.
