9kg's is not bad ... mine comes in at a feathery 12.6kg's

Is it this one that weighs 12.6. Thats quite a chunk of weight. Imangine what the weight would have been with all the geared bits on it. I see you also have the LX crankset on. Mine must be more than 5 years old. Came off a Merida geared bike. It has not given me one seconds trouble

That is the lump of lead being referred to ... the crank is a deore one with a currently seized BB ... will be replaced ASAP and time permitting
