So, what the verdict. After 3500km I'm wondering if my shock needs replacement? You tell me:

:) ... well I got a second hand Rock Shock Duke over the weekend so just wanted to check before I retire my old faithful. Perhaps I can pawn it on the for sale section :)

and that, boys and girls, is why we should service our forks! I'll cry if that happens to mine!
Who needs a granny gear anyway?

Actually I tried to avoid servicing them else they bottomed out all the time. The muck helped to create more friction and make the fork harder :) ... then again it might explain the extreme play on this set. The bushings where gone on these :)

But I must say that I was impressed at how long these OEM crap lasted. Going to turn them now into a wheel trueing stand

Yup, bleeding edge technology those XCMs. It breaks my heart to replace her as they don't make shocks like they use to.

And you can turn the stanchion assembly into a candle holder... good job on killing them though, a better job than I've seen in a while B)
