powretap freeewheel compatability

a friend has kindly lent me his powertap wheel etc to try out, he runs shimano on his bike and i have campy, I am told you cannot change the freewheel body on the powertap hub, is this correct?

Maybe. On older models it wasn't possible and you had to buy a specific Campag cassette from CycleOps. On newer models it is possible.

I'm not entirely sure how you tell which is 'newer' or 'older'. I think the newer ones have the black cover, while older ones have a yellow cover.

If you change the freehub you need to swap a couple of spacers around on the shaft too. Try to Google for a manual to show where they go before you do it.

I purchased a Powertap Pro hub which had a Shimane body, i purchased a Campag body and changed it in 3 minutes... very easy.
