Hi there,

Taking place on the 21st March 2010, start is at the Midvaal Council office, Meyerton.

Anyone done this one before?  What did you think of the race?

I see there is 80km, 40km and 10km.  Keen on the the 80km one.

Any advise appreciated.

Thanks

Michelle G.

I did the 80km last year.
It's a small race and only counts towards your experience, last year it wasn't even timed but this year I see they using SS Timing.

From what I remember it's a fairly easy race, a few climbs but nothing serious. You do 40km then turn around and ride back to the start.

I'm also planning to do it this year, want to see if I've improved or by how much I've improved. Last year I hung onto the bunch until the 40km turn around point then it was just me, this year I want revenge!!!

See you there.

Nice out and back route with a few sharp climbs. Normally back is quicker than the out part because there is always a lot of headwind going out. Nice to do these smaller races than the normal big one's. Food stalls before and after the race as well, and it is really not far from JHB

Enjoyable race, well attended by the top teams, i always ride the 40k and watch them come in.
