Have never done it before and thought I'd give it a go (my cousin helps organise it, so need to show my face!). Apparently a good route and more affordable and less hype than the Blythedale event (which is on that Sunday).

K so who all is doing this one tomorrow?.. being off the saddle for just over 2 months I'll just be doing the 19.9km, then straight afterwards to the beer tent Big%20smile, so if anyone wants to meet for a beer I'll be wearing black pants, blue sleeveless top, and riding a red and blue Raleigh RM 5

What did you guys think of the race? I thought it was good but expected more of the "hyped about" dual singletrack.

There was a hectic accident a few k's from the start, does anyone know if the guys were ok?

Does anybody know if there was an event photographer? I saw a hell of a lot of fancy cameras all along the trail. I hope i didnt spend all that time showing my pearly whites for nothing! ha ha

That climb that they threw in at 25km was a monster!!

I have done it for the past 4 yrs running now and I have to say the new route is a bit of a let down. I MUCH preferred the old route with the old ""Take me home country roads" board

The dual single track was also waaay too rough!!

Ja, that climb was a bugger. First time I'd done the ride and also found that singletrack on the way home not so great. Overall, a good, testing route and very well marked. It was great not having the slower riders on the same singletrack. Well done to the organisers for that.
