Bruce what would our average local pro watts/kg be and then that of a pro tour rider, as a matter of interest?

Ah, so in order to ride like Andrew, I need to maintain my current power and drop 15kg. Piece of cake

No Jules, a piece of cake will not help, I'm sorry.

I'm not so clued up on power stats but I've heard (if I recall correctly) Pro Tour is something like 6.8watt/kg.

I think our local pro's are around 5.2 upwards.

Bruce will have more accurate figures though.

Domestic pro's are around 5.5w/kg, pro tour riders around 5.7w/kg, and tour contenders around 6w/kg.

That would be pVO2Max, ie the power they can produce for around 5min.
