How did you do the marcello? Did they give you a 2009 frame as a sample or detailed photos?

The process he followed was quite involved as per my request:

1) Spray the raw carbon with black tinted clear to give a darker effect

2) Spray all decals and color scheme

3) Spray all with a gold pearl clear to finish which only become evident in the sun (photo doesn't do it justice)

Well, at least this is my understanding of the process Wink (Feel free to correct TFWink)

I was there when he was busy stripping down one of the CPI bikes. Looks like good old fashioned sand paper and lots of elbow grease. I don't think you can use paint stripper on carbon.

Is it possible to respray a Raleigh so that it doesn't look like a Raleigh (i.e. different stickers etc)???Or is that just wrong?

That's just wrong Dude!!!
Yesterday is HISTORY. Tomorrow is a MISTERY.

Today is a GIFT that is why it is called the PRESENT.

So my fork used to be white which was also a (crappy) respray from the original red. I love the look of the new SID World Cup forks, so I asked my boy TokenFreak to give my fork the SID treatment.

Here's what I wanted it to look like:

And here's the result:

It looks HOT! This will be used in the Trek STP frame on the first page of this thread. Can't wait to get this bike up and running! Tongue
