Cen turion area particularly between Botha Avenue and the railway line next to the on ramp and on the railway line service road where it goes under the highway.
Seize the day and throttle it.

Are you sure it is the Ben Schoeman. BS is the section of the N1 from Buccluegh to Brakfontein Interchange, Danie Joubert is from Brakfontein to Scientae interchange. The section from Brakfontein to Potgieter street will have a P or R number. Not sure what it is.

Hey Speed Devil,
Let's try to keep this one serious and informative. I am not likely to be in your kitchen when your missus is upset and I don't think many other hubbers will be either. That remains your problem.

Seize the day and throttle it.

By the fort, across the highway from Fountains? Thought they had stopped people from riding there a while back.. ?

They are busy doing an access control gate. At the enterance to the fort and after the water tower, there seems to be people in cars (looking very dodgy and "skeef") at around sunset ....

Well I know allot of guys in the Pretoria area ride the traintrack routes towards Bronkhorstspruit/Cullinan area, just be vigilant of stray dogs on the route as you pass some of the small holdings.

Ive been chased by a huge rotweiler once and also another bordel collie type dog on another ocassion.  Not funny having to sprint from the dog if youre tired and the slowest in the group. Eish!

This also applys to all areas with small holdings like out on Atterbury, Garsfontein or Lynnwood roads/Boschkop.

happy cycling and use that pepperspray !

I train at Klapperkop at least once or twice a week diffirent times of day and often alone and there are so many runners, cyclists, etc there i feel very safe! there is also a lot of police cars driving up and down.

Touch wood nothing has happened there in a while!

Back of Midstream Estate, on Down & Dirty route

Friend of mine stays in Midstream and does a lot of MTBing on the farms & plots there.  From Midstream there is access to many single and jeep tracks and can easily do over 60kms, of which some of it is on the Down and Dirty route.  Been riding there on his own many times & we’re using it extensively for training rides.  Been very safe …

Yesterday, five of us went out for a 3 hour ride, when 3 idiots tried to attack us.  It’s on the Down & Dirty route after the 30km split – see pic.

Think these dudes were novices, but they did manage to smash my buddy’s Specialized helmet with a piece of wood and manage to get a second shot in across his arm.  We fought back by throwing stones etc. and they ran away.

Next time, me thinks they will be more prepared …
