Everyone has so much to say/They talk, talk, talk their lives away/Don’t even hesitate/Walking on down to the burial ground/It’s a very old dance with a merry old sound/Looks like its on today

From what's been made known by riders themselves in the past couple of years, I reckon the asterisk key should be worn out at the end of typing the list of previous Tour winners. Obviously the French winners wouldn't get an asterisk suffix though...

About to drink my second... must make it stronger! Nah, the cynical comment is justified in this instance I reckon, HR. I really am a natural optimist. I'm trying to believe the 2008 peloton is mostly clean. Apparently the average power of the top riders on popular climbs has dropped by 10-15 watts this year. And 10-15 watts advantage over a 15km-plus climb is all it takes to make a difference to a race result...

"These five months will be either amplified or wiped out. The Tour is like the lighthouse of cycling, whether you like it or not," (Prudhomme) added.
"When the Tour has light, it benefits the whole world of cycling. When it's out of light, everybody is in the dark."

According to the English version of 'LA confidential' some of those top riders watt output is at insane levels, will a 15 watt reduction really make it more credible?

Where did you find the "engleeesh" version Wolfie??

I sort of read a few "on-line" pages which some guy translated from French, but I thought it was still only available in French in the written format.??
