I think it is right that Landis have lost his appeal for the 2006 TDF title. I don't think he derserves to get the title back after what he did.

But he's innocent

I see from www.cyclingnews.comhe's planning on appealing his appeal..
Why doesn't the guy just give up and take his punishment...
Why doesn't the guy just give up and take his punishment...

If you were innocent would you give up?

I know I joke about it, but I think Flanders is innocent... This farce just makes me sad.

I thought its innocent until proven guilty(which is the case) and not innocent until your appeals run out.

glad they didn't wait another few days to announce this news on the eve of the Tour - which is what they normally do

As far as I can see, he has nowhere else to go, the CAS decision was his last chance, he has been through all the avenues available to him.
I cant see how he can further appeal.

I found this little snippet below which makes interesting reading......
When a controlling body has to spend maybe up to SIX MILLION dollars to prove a their findings there is something fundementally flawed in the process.
A reminder that Landis' legal fees are acknowledged to have been +/- $2 million, while:
USADA spent between three and four million;
WADA spent $1.3 million.
WADA spent $1.3 million.
When a controlling body has to spend maybe up to SIX MILLION dollars to prove a their findings there is something fundementally flawed in the process.
I dont believe WADA or the USADA can afford to spend this kind of money, they appear to be forced to almost bankrupt themselves to prove their findings with little course of recovery, Mr Landis just declares himself bankrupt and thats it, how much will they recover.??
This is bulls**t there has to be a better system.

Believe it or not, he can now appeal the CAS decision on his appeal by
going to the Swiss courts (CAS is in Switzerland). According to CyclingNews.com
this is his next option.

It's a backward process - Innocent until proven guilty means nothing ... Floyd was tasked to prove his innocence. Have you seen how many errors there were in the testing process - any tradtional courtroom would find "reasonable doubt". Not to mention that the sample used was outside of WADA's own degradation parameters for testing.
