HELP with video files

I have a Samsung S3. When I record videos and then connect to the PC, I can't see the thumbnails fro the videos I have recorded. I then copy to the PC and playback via Windows Media Player, but all the videos are shown at 90 degrees to the left (ie to have to tilt your head to the left to watch the video). Any idea what is going on and how to fix?

Isn't there like samsung software that allows you to export it onto your pc instead of just copying it?

Tilt your phone 90 degrees to the right when you record the video...
