I read through all 588 posts on that thread, finally come to the end and have a decent comment to add and its locked. Nothing in there was so bad. Actually was getting interesting. Better than another stupid 29er debate...
Quit that jibber jabber, lets ride.

There was some good intellectual debate going there. I am considering boycotting the hub because of that. Really disappointed...

Yes Slowbee. Take a hint. There is more to the hub than your one-sided opinion.
Childish.
Who the hell do you think you are that you can just lock a post that wasnt derailed or inflammatory?
This is a public forum, not the " World according to Slowbee".
Matt, take this as a formal complaint as an abuse of power and a misguided, uninformed action.
Not condusive to healthy debate and discussion, and certainly not where I want to see the hub going

That thread should not have been allowed to stay open after the first post.
Personally I believe that religious debate has not place on a cycling forum (go check the meta-data!), especially as these debates rear their heads from time to time, and invariably they do not end well. The one from yesterday did not end too badly, but still there were complaints about posts I believe?

Really easy to stop all these "My principles are better than yours / your principles are wrong" nonsense. :)

It's called freedom of speech. If you don't like the topic, then don't open and read it. Simple really. There was no reason to close the thread at all. Zero contravention of the agreed rules. Who is this Slowbee power hungry fellow and who made him god?
I know you are, but what am I?

Thanks Slowbee
When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed. But, somehow I always had something else to take care of first, the shed, the boat, always something more important to me. Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point. When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing scissors. I watched silently for a short time and then went into the house.. I was gone only a minute, and when I came out again I handed her a toothbrush. I said, "When you finish cutting the grass, you might as well sweep the driveway." The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp.
