Seems like one person wants to control the hub?

Childish.
Who the hell do you think you are that you can just lock a post that wasnt derailed or inflammatory?
This is a public forum, not the " World according to Slowbee".
Matt, take this as a formal complaint as an abuse of power and a misguided, uninformed action.
Not condusive to healthy debate and discussion, and certainly not where I want to see the hub going

Personally I believe that religious debate has not place on a cycling forum (go check the meta-data!), especially as these debates rear their heads from time to time, and invariably they do not end well. The one from yesterday did not end too badly, but still there were complaints about posts I believe?
Really easy to stop all these "My principles are better than yours / your principles are wrong" nonsense.
