There's a couple of things where I've been getting it continuously wrong without realising and I wondered if i was the only one - e.gs

I got conned into getting a mtb & didnt enjoy it for the 1st 15 months; cos apparently having the shock locked for that time affects the ride quality.

On Saturday we went over Breedts Nek and I was tired of the Camelbak dripping on me for the past 6 years, so I wrapped the hose up and just decanted my drink into bottles every couple of hours.  Doing this, I got curious about the little yellow bit on the mouthpiece and, with the help of my partner, worked out its a tap to stop the drips.

Its nice to put a smile on other people's faces (kinda), but is it just me?

Glad to see I am not the only one with a leaky camelbak. Remember to use that little yellow lock when chucking it in the car, several times I have got to my destination with no more water and a soggy car!

A couple of years ago I got a new MTB and decided to get nice new pedals etc, which I didnt realize was specifically Left and Right. Continued to force them into the wrong cranks and then went riding and got very upset that the new stuff wasnt working and I battled to cleat in and once in (sort of) couldnt cleat out and just moered down when stopping. Kept telling my mates how kak the bike and the pedals were. The shop managed to get the pedals out of the crankarm and then told me that it was fitted/forced wrong. Now only when writing this do I realise how totally stupid I was.

I wore Salomon shoes for a couple of years and was always irritated that the pullstring lacing system had to be tucked under the other laces to to keep it out of the way. Then someone showed me the little pouch on the top of the shoe tongue designed especially for tucking the laces away...

Haha I recommend someone to buy a TT bike from someone else i know. A few days after he got the bike he called me and was furious. He complained about not being able to get the pedals in and they sold him the wrong thing. Thanksfully i explained to him how to do it and saved him going into a bike shop and throwing his toys. ... on second thought maybe i shouldnt have ..

When I was a noob I took the rotors off the wheels for a good clean, without realizing they were different sizes I put them back on the wrong way round and then it took an age to figure out why the one wheel would not fit.

Took me the whole day to work it out, But now is knowing

Years ago, doofus me insisted in buying a floor pump with two 'nozzles' so I can inflate any type of valve, not knowing the rubber inserts are generally reversable
