Not sure if anyone else would find it useful but I imagine a database of known regular group rides from established areas would be something a majority of us would be interested in knowing. I generally spend most of my time cycling alone but hook up with a group of people in the run up to Argus etc. Personally since moving to the deep south of CT (near Tokia) it would be super worthwhile to know if there are groups that ride regularly and from where. I do on odd occasions hook up with the crew from Durbanville though when I drive out that way. A list of known rides would go a long way to getting chaps to figure out where and when chaps meet up to ride from if they happen to be in those areas and these groups are open to outsiders joining. (Might be useful to mention the average speeds the groups try to maintain and whether these are part of organised club rides that require membership, etc) What say you hubville?

It certainly doesn't have to be for just the deep south of CT. I think a list like this posted as a sticky in this area could be extremely useful to list all areas around SA and that way anyone who visits the hub can come to one thread to track down a group of fellow cyclists to try and connect with in whatever area they are, whether that is permanently or simply on a holiday of sorts.
Come on you chaps that are in regular get togethers, post the details of these if they are open to outsiders.

I belong to two groups of regular riders in the Southern Suburbs area
1 group cycle over the weekends in the surrounding areas then another group that I belong to cycle in the mornings from Rhodes Memorial Gate to Block house then two options back, either back to Claremont side or down to town. Always looking for more riders to join us and have created groups on Whatsapp to keep in touch of rides coming up

I joined a small group leaving from where circle cycles used to be at the circle in Fish Hoek. They ride saturdays and sundays leaving at between 7.30 and 8.00 at the moment. The rides are 3-4 hrs long.
