Yes! If it can compete with Finish line, I'd be there often!!!
That will take some doing.
When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed. But, somehow I always had something else to take care of first, the shed, the boat, always something more important to me. Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point. When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing scissors. I watched silently for a short time and then went into the house.. I was gone only a minute, and when I came out again I handed her a toothbrush. I said, "When you finish cutting the grass, you might as well sweep the driveway." The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp.

Lived in the vale my whole life... Johnsons is the only option besides trekking out to toney impey in bedfrodview. Plenty race snakes / bush whackers in the vale.. I think something in the vicinity of greenstone would be a good idea , but then high rent etc and escalated prices. Ps i heard Johnsons has been sold as well !!

spoke to Ken this morning..
his shop was and is not for sale ..
i like big boooost!

Looked at opening a shop in the Vale about 10 years ago.

Used to be an existing shop just around the corner from Johnson's, also serviced lawn mowers. (we're going to take over lock stock & two smoking barrels)

Same problems then that there are now - exorbitant rentals for prime locations, costs for staff etc.

This is before you've even had to deal with the importers - Shimano, Sram, Fox, Rock Shox etc.

If you're going to open a shop it has to be for the love of the sport.

Have you ever heard of anyone getting rich by running a bike shop ?!
