Ok, so a little while ago i inherited some money.

I decided to park it in a few different investments to safeguard the money  (basically to stop me going out and buying a flash 29er or something)

One of the things i did was i bought some collector coins.

I bought from a company called SA coin out in Woodmead JHB.

They had all the figures and history regarding the previous growth as well as epected growth of these coins.

I made the mistake of believing there bull sh1t.

Anyways, i bought 4 coins for R100K.

Turns out they are only worth a third of that and have not appreciated since release.

Whilst i realise that a large portion of the blame rests on my own shoulders for making an uninformed decision that has cost my family R66.000, i am merely trying to spread the word to hopefully save someone else from the same mistake i made.

I bought Mandela Birthday R5 coins.

Stay away from this company. in fact, stay away from these coins.

If you're going to buy coins then there is pretty much only one to buy. Kruger rand, It's gold, so just look at the gold price and you can see the value having increased, anything else I'll avoid.

Yeah, i bought quite a few of those as well. I thought i would take a chance on the Mandela ones, but got shafted for taking that chance.

I work on a semi fixed semi commission structure package, basically told myself with each commission run I will look at getting at least one coin, it's to start now, with new company...

Surely if they have given you fabricated facts and figures you have a case to go back to them? Sounds like fraud.

They have a shop in PE in Walmer Park and the guy there was just rude to me.I will never go back there.I have some of the old Kruger rands and i know that they have gone up quite a bit.
