Does such a thing exist? Surely all are guestimates at best?
yes they are guestimates but the mind is a powerful thing and if your watch says you burnt 2500 calories your mind responds to that

Thanks rouxjtie

I run 3 times a week,cycle 3-4 times a week,swim twice a week and gym 5 days a week.
Daily calorie intake is about 1200-1300 and i am burning about 1800-3500 a day, depending on cycle distance.

Avg heart rate is about 70% except for interval work.

Just a quick question, why such a large calorie deficit?  Aren't you feeling tired/lethargic at all?  The general rule of thumb that I've heard is to not go more than 1000 cal deficit.

Obviously its working for you though, just curious how it's affecting you other than weight loss?

Cool, thanks for your feedback.  It seems the multiple smaller meals throughout the day do the trick for a lot of people.

I think you are talking kiloJoules here not Calories. To burn 1800 Calories in 90 minutes almost impossible in the gym and you need to be very fit to actually achieve this.

Nope fairly straight forward - 1000 - 1200 for an hour on the bike and 20 min on stair machine for the balance :)

I do  2X cardio on Tuesday and Thursday.Run or cycle in the morning and then swim in the afternoon, with weights.
I do gym Monday to Friday but that includes 2x Krav Maga sessions.
Sunday is a rest day.

1800 calories is 75% of an adult male's daily requirement - it wont burn off in an hour & a half otherwise no-one would ever have a weight problem.

was thinking the same thing... if you burn +900 kCal in an hour you will know it and its not possible with gym work.
