Your opinions please, I am upgrading and and are left with these two choices.
Both I can get for more or less the same price (+-R4500 a set)
Both are new 2012 models and UST.
Eastons are 1620g  and  Fulcrums are 1685g
Both sealed bearings and oversized hubs
Both internal width is 19mm

I haven't ridden the Fulcrums, but have a set of the Eastons (29") and so far they are rock solid and roll incredibly smoothly...

I have a friend riding on eastons and he thrashes them. They have held up rather well and I must say look far nicer than the fulcrums.

The backup on the Eastons is better. Local Fulcrum agents don't stack up to Omnico. That being said, I love my Fulcrum wheels. I'll jump for that 2400 special if I were you.

I got a set of the fulcrums in feb and absolutely love them!!!

Cwcycles sell them for R2600 and in the classifieds there is a new set for R2200. Its a steal at that price!!!

A mate of mine bought some Red Metal 3's at Solomon's a few weeks back for R2399 as opposed to spending the money on a tjoopless conversion.
