Its too big
How big are we talking here? Too big to be a phone and not big enough to be a Notebook?

If you ask me, it's a case of:
  • Like to fiddle and you're a real gadget freak.  Don't like to be told what to do.  Get an Android device.  S3 is very impressive but there are several other great phones running Android.
  • Like a phone that is a pleasure to use and does all you need but is not perhaps quite as open to being changed and made to conform to your every taste.  Get the iPhone.
That's the quandary in a nutshell...

You need a beeeeeg battery to power a screen that large. Also a dual-core cpu, so not slow either
But too big as a phone me-thinks. iPhone5 is said to be much bigger than we are used to also.....

Suck having a BB, free internet dont mean nothing if the phone aint strong enough to open a semi decent webpage.

S3 is top of my list. Apple sal moet uithaal en wys met iPhone 5.

You okes that don't have contracts, check out www.excellular.co.za , their prices are very good and quick delivery.

Iphone. Hands down.

Don't expect the 4s to change your miserable world into a glowing Avatar love fest but if you take it for what it is and compared to the rest of the wannabes around it is still the one that all the rest are trying to copy and it just works.

Also as a an aside I dropped mine in the pool last friday. Probably in there a good 5 minutes + by the time I tried to fish it out, strip off, dive in and get the 8K little fecker. A week in a bag of rice & silca gel... 100% working, 100% all the time.

Thanks for the build quality stevo.

Depends what you want to use your phone for actually.  I've had HTC Desire, Desire HD, LG Optimus 3D and now the Samsung Galaxy Note.  I thought the Note was going to be too big, but surprisingly I've gotten used to it very quickly and now any other phone screen looks miniature!

If you browse a lot with your phone and like playing the odd games or two, the Galaxy Notes screen is superb for that. Otherwise something like the Samsung S3 or HTC One X.

My wife killed her Iphone (don't ask) only thing we had for her until her upgrade was our Galaxy Tab. No ear piece ability, decent speakers for the convrsation and the size of a large brick.

I took great delight ringing her when she was at Woolies, in the doctors waiting room, art gallery... never failed to amuse as I said something inappropriate or just screamed like a banshie all received in full speaker glory and all she could do was shout at the tablet to which I just said 'what?' a lot.

Don't get one as a phone they are kak and your Mrs will hate you. For a long time.

I have the Sony Xperia Arc. Very happy with it. My wife is using my previous Xperia and it is still going strong. Maybe have a look at the new Sony Xperia S just launched. The Samsung S3 also looks like a very nice phoneAttached File  SonyXperiaS%20za.jpg   23,65K   4 downloads

Samsung Galaxy SIII...

S3 I'd say. Have an iPhone and it's the first time in a while that I've been this disappointed. Cool device, pretty darn crap phone.
