Wow, I was speechless when I heard this last night.

He's got valid reasons, but for him to retire aged 26 - I'm still in a bit of shock. That boytjie can ride a bike!

Shocker! Bad for the sport to loose one of it's biggest starts. Hopefully someone else will take his place at the top and we'll continue to see a 3 or 4 rider battle for the title for many more years. Last thing you'd want is for one rider to dominate.

I haven't been following Superbikes since the retirement of Mick Doohan, [ :blush:] bit still try and catch a few laps when I can...

What's the background to this? What's he on about how the "balance" is wrong, and how the changes made have removed his enjoyment?
