Just wanting to test opinion as I stopped watching this last night, bored with the contestants, judges and, mostly, the food they're putting out.

I like reality shows and went with this one for a few weeks. But I reckon if you looked into the kitchens on many streets you'd find folk cooking as good and better.

One of the top 12 came up with chocolate custard last night (got booted for it but still).

Thys is great and should win it, and the fat judge is quite good.  Otherwise its an ordinary bunch of folk cooking ordinary stuff without any personality.

Theres another judge who is just plain stupid in how he talks to the contestants - like some pantomime baddy, or over-patronising nursery school teacher.

Anyway just wondered, in a non-cycling way, if i'm missing anything?

I've been watching the British one and thats almost too technical with not much personality.

Looks like a lot of very able peeps producing really interesting stuff, but they get rid of most of them in 20 mins and a new lot arrive next episode.

That jade chick can serve them a curried turd and win by the looks of it. She sucks. It pains me to say it but the Aussie version is best.

If only the SA contestants can stop crying, and emotional moment here and there is okay, but if you cry when voted out because your food looks like it's been prepared on the side of the road, you deserve to go.
I quite like the UK version:you can see how the food is prepared, and perhaps imitate it at home, I love to watch them work in a pro kitchen. It seems the UK contestants' knowledge of food is far better than SA's.
