Maybe in summer, but for sure not in winter - trains and buses seem to be the most prevalent commuter transport then.
Denmark is REALLY REALLY expensive to own a car due to the taxes imposed on vehicles - eating out is also a frightening experience for the bank account (easily 10x the cost in rand for the identical item when I was last there).
They do throw some great new years parties though - I have heard that they spend the most per capita on fireworks worldwide - although I can't find confirmation of that.
