Interested to know what the issue was/is??
How many complaints/injuries??

Enough to warrant a body to manage?

A few complaints, one serious injury. personally don't think it needs a managing body though - just feeling it out.

As far as I could tell there was a body to manage it, apparently it was called "common sense". Even met a few of the members of the body, can't remember all their names but "check before you ride", "if you're not sure, take the alternative line" and "know your limits" were definitely in the group....

Hahaha, yip, great group - they are still together, keeping trails safe throughout South Afica.

I've found these two guys are sometimes absent from my own personal mtb safety management body. They are then respresented by a proxy member called "delusions". It always end in tears!

Do you know what "health and safety" was reffered to in the old days?

COMMON SENSE.
Out of the night that covers me,Black as the pit from pole to pole,I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.In the fell clutch of circumstance, I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance. My head is bloody, but unbowed.Beyond this place of wrath and tearsLooms but the Horror of the shade,And yet the menace of the years,Finds and shall find me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate,How charged with punishments the scroll,I am the master of my fate:I am the captain of my soul.
