You might find that acceptable but I certainly don't and that's why I didn't enter 5150.

If you want, I'll take you on a 30k trail run in the heart of Joburg and it wont cost you a cent. If you like, you can do it twice. :)

and No, I don't spend R1 200 over a weekend.

Cool! Do you have that run on google maps? Is it in the Greenside area?

Braamfontein Spruit incorporating Delta Park, Botannical Gardens, Alberts Farm and Mellville Koppies.

Did quite a few of these training runs in preparation for IM last year.

What speed do you run at? I would love to come along. Need a winter route. Live next to Emmarentia.

Normal pace is around 5:15-5:30 but at the moment I doubt I'd make it further than 10k :)

I live next to Alberts Farm. PM me and we can exchange contact details.

Yay, I can now come along

@WeightWeenie, I agree with all you say, an event like this is awesome, they are still milking us just for the sake of it

Ok Dangle and Thug.

We can do some running this from March of onwards into the winter. After the 70.3 at Buffels on 11 March, I am switching to running only.

Have to keep fit throughout the winter for the Otter trail run I entered.

I will PM you both! Maybe we can have our own multiday trail run. We can camp next to the Emmarentia dam.

I really want to do it. I have a friend who lives very close to the venue so I am considering staying with him and just do the "day races".
