Update: A cyclist was robbed of his Black Niner "Jet 9" in his driveway in Berglviet early yesterday evening and not on Table Mountain as reported earlier.
Nontheless, this is still a serious incident and needs to be put out there. The attacker was White in his Mid-twenties and held a screwdriver to the victim's face, that's all I got.
The bike was kitted out with full XTR and will most likely be sold (or already has) in the Southern Suburbs.
Please keep a lookout on the streets while driving.

I was considering naming shops , but thought I would leave it. The shop you allude to came up in my conversation, as well as 3 others. These are well known businesses , so I thought it best to zip it in case I get a defamation lawsuit slapped on me. i was also told that an ex employee of a bike shop located next to a bridge was suspected of being involved in handling stolen bikes while in their employ. This person has now opened his own business and there are questionmarks.
My source is involved in a court case over stolen bikes and the suspects in the case named some shops they have taken stolen bikes to.
That is as much as I would like to say in this open Forum.

The shops in question may not be directly involved, but have crooked staff taking the bikes at the back door and then disposing of them via their own channnels. If the staff of a shop is invloved, it doesn't neccessarily mean that the shop owner knows about it.
