Does anyone know where i joburg i can get a pair of 5.10 Shoes? preferably either the minaars or the freeriders?
I saw them advertised on mountain mail order but apparently they are out of stock.
Cheers!

Mike's Bike's in Greenside have Minnaars. Remember that Minnaars are SPDs though, so if you're wanting them for jumping then rather go Freerider.
The SA Importers are City Rock in CT. Phone them, ask them what they have, and they can have it sent to Mike's (I think Mike gets his 5.10s from them).
Alternatively you can go the route I went. I bought both my pairs from CRC. In fact most people I know with 5.10's get them from CRC. Yes, there is a duty charged over and above the VAT. But I got lucky when ordering my last pair and customs missed them.
On my first pair I think I ended up paying about 40% more than the CRC listed price. But once you've ridden with 5.10s you will realize it's worth it

Agreed - 100%.....
Mike's dont really keep stock anymore... they used to have a couple of pairs but they struggle to get reliable supply. Last time I was there I bought their last pair of minnaars... sorry.
I have since ordered a couple of pairs, for myself, my wife, my son, and a couple of buddies via the internet.
Best prices and absolutely immediate dispatch is www.probikeshop.com
They charge 36euro for UPS 2/3 day speed delivery to SA. well worth it!!!!!!

Maybe he did...
Maybe you saw some other shoes that just looked like minnaars to you...
Maybe you totally fabricated them in your own imagination....
Maybe you are just lying about it....
Maybe you weren't really there, it was just a dream...
Maybe you made up the dream because you are a clairvoyant and knew someone would ask about shoes here?
Maybe your a bastard, an agent....
Who knows....

thanks for the advice guys. I will check mikes bikes as i live two blocks away from them, and if that does not work i will check with city rock and see if they can mail them to me. (if not, Thank you Capricorn!) If that fails, then i guess CRC or probikeshop it will have to be.
I like the Idea of the freeriders cos the way i ride it may be better if i can leave the bike easily when something goes wrong....

I use Mountain Mail Order for most of my mountaineering and hiking requirements
They also stock the Julbo range of outdoor eyeware which is very cool
They actually had a shop next to Cavandish Square but have moved
