I read the above on Twitter...

Dont like the look of that bike,
Out of the night that covers me,Black as the pit from pole to pole,I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.In the fell clutch of circumstance, I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance. My head is bloody, but unbowed.Beyond this place of wrath and tearsLooms but the Horror of the shade,And yet the menace of the years,Finds and shall find me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate,How charged with punishments the scroll,I am the master of my fate:I am the captain of my soul.

I have a general question...................
Is it not unfair to allow certain big name athletes to enter races up until raceday basically? Some guys choose their races carefully based on the competition to ensure they accumulate enough points to try and go to Kona or the WC 70.3.
POW now suddenly big guns enter with 2 days to go and there goes the plan.....
Look, I know that if you are good enough you should make Kona but we also need to remember that most Kona winners dont peak until Kona meaning they would probably lose most of their in season races if they faced the best competition......
Just wondering................ (I was very distraught when Lance entered the Argus that other year as it basically nullified my chances)

Who knows how to make that back wheel spin in the pic so we can see if there is a subliminal message at 60 Kph?

I look at it more in terms of who will benefit the sport the most, the 50th ranked male pro who may get bumped from Kona if Lance gaines enough points or Lance. Whether you care for him or not, he'll bring a heck of a lot of mainly positive exposure to the sport.
YMMV,
Hugh
