I've read bad things about Crank Bros. seatposts.
Rockshox Reverb seems to be the one to get.

That looks hot!

I have had three Joplin posts and have never had a problem. They have always performed flawlessly.

I can't wait to get my mits on this one.

Cant say anything about the Joplin but i know the first edition reverb has had a few hassels, :whistling:

No, but if other Crank Bros. seat posts were unreliable, then I think it's wise to be a little cautious about this new one. Atleast until it's been tested and reviewed for a while by the general public.

Yes, that is true. The new version however has been getting great reviews from the public as well as magazines etc.

I hear so, but I'll stick with my KS

Looks pretty cool and I like the position of the cable on the post, so it will stay static - like the new reverb stealth.

Be interesting so see what it costs.

I've had a reverb for about 5 months now and to date it's performed flawlessly. Taken a fair amount of knocks along the way too.

Eventually everyone will ride a dropper post - you'll see why once you've ridden one.

I like the remote cable design of that CB. The fact that it doesn't connect to the top of the post. (Although KS and Gravity Dropper have both sported this design already).

Those of you who have fitted a dropper seatpost before will agree with me that it can be a mission to get the remote cable routing right. The fact that the cable wont move when the post extends/contracts makes routing strategies that little bit easier.

I run a Reverb 2012 (2nd edition). It's had its hassles. The remote seals went after 1 week and no hyrolic fluid means no working seatpost. But the RS guys sorted it and it seems to be doing fine.

Oh, I forgot the big question...

how many inches?

By todays standards 5" is a minimum. Any less and this may be dead before it hits the shelves.

Problems with Reverb was only first batch. Had a problem with hoses, but was a quick fix. Mine is a first batch sample and after the hose upgrade it's been going strong. Not a single issue and it hasn't sen any maintenance.

KS is another favorite. The new Lev is high up on my list of wants as it also does away with the stupid hose loop.

The Joplin has been in need of replacement for quite a while. Like how the cable goes into the collar. My only worry id that seat clamp. Looks similar to the current one which is a bit of a disaster. Like with all things CB I will give this a year or two before I would consider buying it.
