Shimano caters for a whole lot of mtb'ers worldwide and they probably make more money of the cheap parts they put on their "Makro" and "Wallmart" bikes ( there must be millions world wide on every kid's bike riding to school)
than the more expensive road groupsets.
Now what if Campy brought out mtb groupsets, made cheapies for kids or worse fishing equipment ............

Campy doesnt make Reels nor do they make cheapies!
They target a different market so in my opinion one cannot actully compare the two companies as the one caters for the masses and other opts to be EXCLUSIVE!!
