How do you rate the SPECIALIZED S WORKS ROAD SHOE?

I am in thinking of buying a new road shoe. Currently I have the SPECIALIZED SPORT ROAD SHOE but my feet get numb and if I loosen the straps it feels like my feet are going to fall out. The bottum of my feet is also sore after 2:30 hour ride.
I have a limited budget of R1 500. How do you rate these shoes or are there alternative shoes I must look at.
Thanks

Have you tried the different inner soles to suit your arch? I found the ++ models have a bigger metatarsel button and prevent my feet from getting numb.
The S-Works are lighter too and have a stiffer sole which will help in power transfer. Best shoe on the market IMO

Having said that, they make EXCELLENT shoes. Excellent fit (foot dependent obviously), lasts forever, BG sole means no pins and needles, light, well vented, stiff...the list goes on.
A bit pricey, but considering that they last several seasons it's worth it.

Agree with Crow, on my 4th season with a pair of MTB shoes. Only used my S-Works road shoes for one ride sofar so can't really comment yet. Very light, very stiff. only downside are the replacement cost of the cable system should it break.

The old model S works if they have in your size is a massive 1500 rand.
I just got the one down from that for 500 with a carbon sole.

MTB shoes going on their 3rd season now.
Got the road version recently for a bargain, after trying Shimano and Olympic. There is no comparison.
Really fits well for me with the standard insole, specially with my wide and flat feet.
Go for it!
Doubt there is any comparable carbon shoe on the market at that price.

Still a good deal or two to be had if you have smaller/larger feet.

If you consider R16 & a bit of google bandwidth to be expensive, you are a stingy bastard
My "shoelace" broke, I went to a bait & tackle shop, bought fishing wire coated in plastic nogal, that is rated at something ridiculous like 60kg. Cost a full R16 for 10 meters.
Spend 2minutes online to find the DIY manual and another 5minutes later I had a brand new "shoelace" installed.
I still have like 9.5m left of the stuff so if anyone wants theirs replaced, send me your shoes, Ill charge R250 per shoe excluding postage!
I love all 3 my sets equally, no maybe I favour the white roadie ones more!
