Anybody keen to cycle up to the blockhouse on tuesday and thursday mornings at 6am.
Leaving from the parking above the spaar in vredehoek up to the blockhouse to kloof neck and back through deer park.

around 16km/h average, medium pace, the loop takes me about one hour

Just for interest sake, David George holds the record for the timetrial up to the blockhouse which he did in 12;57.. the route is 3.8km long. is that around 17km/h? my maths could be totally off (just came off the mountain myself.. im a bit starry eyed

bottom line, trailblazer if you do 16km/h and its medium pace for you.. Respect

Think that would be an average of 18.13km/h it is very fast!! I only took the complete distance ( to my best recollection) and the time it takes me to finish it, ie. 16km loop in 1 hour. The stretch up to the blockhouse takes me about 21mins ( 10.85km/h ) but the rest of the track is quite fast. Not about speed , I do it for fun! I'll cycle 10km/h if I can have a chat whilst at it...
