I recced the route Saturday but nearly died of the heat - so the earlier your start time the better.

Yeah I understand that you don't get the 'heavy' early entry fee as well as the 'heavier' late entry fee, but it just feels to me that you are trying to sabotage any thread to do with the 99'er....... or is it just me?

Ahem. Just entered two PPA races for the princely sum of R170.00 for both.
Also feel thatR190-00 / R280-00 is pretty steep for the 99'er. One of the reasons I did not enter (the other is that after our Dec recce of the route, I just knew it is going to shred me to pieces) After doing the final 40km again on Sunday morning, I'm glad I did not enter.
The guys who is riding is going to cry.

As fandacious and andre traut pointed out, this weekend is the only weekend off for league riders, so I bet there aren't many of them entered due to cost and racing load - hence us making the elite bunch...... gonna be tough should a good number of elite league riders pull though for this race.

"The 2012 Race Committee is pleased to announce that Pools for Africa will be sponsoring the Grand Prize Lucky Draw for this year’s 99er Road and MTB race. The prizes on offer by Pools for Africa total R44000!"

Ok so it's not a car, but it's still the best prize on offer so far!
Will need a pool after Saturday's ride..
