"South African enjoying a career longer than he expected"

"When he broke away in a suicide move in the 1999 Milan San Remo, Robbie Hunter had little knowledge that the ride would last so long. On that day in March he was the last man caught, holding off the peloton until the slopes of the Cipressa.

In many ways his long career parallels that ride in la Classica di Primavera. Both have been built on determination, guts, a fair amount of talent and, of course, longevity."

Nice video. So how does the "virtual partner" app work on the Edge 900?

Now that was good - love the music too - minimalistic but love the stats bit the most.

That's just brilliant advertising.

Edge 800 surely? You set a ave speed on the one training page (the one shown). It'll then compare your current stats to what you want the average to be.

Alternatively, if you have done the route before - you can load it and, as far as I understand, use the stats recorded then as a comparison to your current ride.

I have not used this feature yet so don't really know. Only used the first option I said (but not used it as my goal speed if that makes sense).

Is it my imagination, but has the original topic faded into insignificance, like Hunter's career?

Some people.

Dunno how you can say someone's career has faded into insignificance when he's still apparently ggod enough to land a two year contract with a Pro Tour team. And he's won at least something every single year of that career, and it doesn't look like he's gonna stop doing that.

Oh, and look, there's Hunter with another win under his belt:
