Maybe someone could ask JuJu if he wants to play hide & seek :whistling:
For sure, give him a head start and tell him there is some Chicky Licky hidden somewhere in the veld...
Or maybe a Rolex...!

South Africa has developed the " anti material gun" a rifle with interchangeable barrels, bolts and magazines. 20 HEI rounds, the same as used in the 20 mm canon and the trusted 50 browning round. Is carried by a team of two operators. One carries the body and the barrels. the other carries the tripod and ammo.

Shoots out to 3 kilos, accurate, recoils like a shotgun. Problem is that we have sold them to anyone who was interested.

We also have the technology and the Americans want what we have.

Arer you kidding or are you serious about the 20mm rounds in a rifle? Can't imagine what that must be like even with all the possible anti recoil measures built in.

I am dead serious, I was the Environmental officer / Terrain Manager out at Piet Joubert Training Area, when I was still in the SANDF. Mechem / CSIR / Denel, had a testing facility adjacent to the terrain and when firing large calibre weapons, they would use our training area as a safety trace. I would then go and look at the weapons and sometimes even got to fire the weapons. This weapon does exist, BUT with a recoil buffer installed, shoots and recoils like a 12 bore shotgun. I know I fired 5 rounds through it, and what is nice is the ability to change barrels to the 50 browning calibre. Accuracy is also NOT a problem. And it has infra red sights for night shoots as well.

The magazine is bevelled inside so that the rounds sit snugly in the magazine and cannot move around under recoil. You should see the damage the 20mm HE round does to a Casspir at 1 click. An ordinary car is turned into scrap metal after 5 shots.

Don't get me started on the 60mm long range mortar that they developed, the pipe is 1.5 mt long and shoots 6 clicks, touching on the 80 trajectory.

Hi Sammajoor

Thanks for the great answer.

Recoil is currently a bit of an issue on my mind. I broke my collarbone (cycling) 5 mths ago and it now strongly disagrees with being kicked by a mule! :D

So if that 30kg+ cannon is used on a running target rather than M.E, then I guess the running target will be turned into antimatter ?!
