My sister worked on that ship when it was brand new (2004). She got to go to France for the training, and sailed with it to the UK for the queen to bash it with a bottle and all that.

She said she wouldn't give up that experience for anything... but she also would never do it again

Let's see.

Lagos 3 times last year
Harare twice. And I'm going again next week.

At least I make a few extra dollars to pay for toys.

Zurich on a daily basis
Luanda on an annual basis

Not a travelling perk... not even a major perk, but when I'm on site at ABI they have these free all-you-can-drink fridges with sprite, fanta, coke etc. situated all around the plant.

Most of my site visits have been to SAB plants though. For obvious reasons they do not have the same policy

For work I get to travel from my bedroom to the playpen at the other end of the house. Takes me 30 seconds and I can spend the 600 hours a year saved in commuting time on going wherever I like.
I did everything by the seat of my pants. That's why I got hurt so much.

Being in the travel and tourism trade we get a lot of comp meals, accommodation, leisure activities etc.
But what do I like the best? Coming home!

Lol!

Petrol Card, Credit Card and customers all over south africa... But even with that, the first time I ever flew was November 2010. Customer functions usually include Tri Nations, We got to see some World cup soccer action, T20's and then the usual getaway in remote areas on some guest farms and so. Other than that, it is the usual guest houses all over...
I don't have something cool to post here... Import this, won that and some sour comment about "yo mama is so phat..." I just ride my bike...

My biggest perk at work is that my boss doesn't know where my office is.
The truth hurts, maybe not as much as sitting on a bicycle without a seat, but it still hurts.

No perks, other than significantly flexible working hours and I can work from home if I need/want to. I pay my own petrol, phone, med aid, pension etc etc.

The virtues of being my own boss.
