I need to give my trusty Toyota Hilux some love. It needs some care and attention to keep me going for a bit longer. Its the older 2001 double cab.
Who out there knows of a good spot that will do work for me?
Looking for a good one stop shop.

Its got a leaking fuel tank which has pissed diesel all ovefr the undercarraige over the years and perished the rubbers for the shocks, and wires that do the rear diff lock thing. As a result the whole underside is caked in a dried diesel and dirt layer, so I want that all cleaned. There is a propshaft issue, AIrcon fanbelt tensioner bearing has siezed, so that need to be done as does the fanbelt. General 280 000 service.
Some minor body repairs if we can

Sounds like standard stuff, I dont know anyone in particular, but I would take it to a well known brand of repair centre like the Bosch Group of service workshops, perhaps not bargain prices, but better than dealers, and you get a warranty on the job as well as the assurance of a big name behind the repair in case of later issues.

Body repairs will most likely need to go to a panel shop, I doubt Bosch will do that, but perhaps they can suggest someone.
I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather......not screaming and yelling like the passengers in his car!.

The best place to take a hi-lux is to your local Ford dealer and swop it for a Ranger :)

I suppose it is the first real work you will do since you bought your Toyota. Wonder how the VW Amakroks will look after they have done the same kilometers. Wonder how many tubes of silikon to take away rattles, head gaskets and turbo chargers it will have used. Ask the Voetspore "Safari" to give us sum info.
Good being home
