I don't know Cape town at all and would like to know a safe rout (+_ 40km) in the Tygervalley area. I am staying there for the Argust so need a short and flat ride for the day before the race.

There is a 40km route you can do in the Tygervalley area, but not flat. The terrain here is full of rollers with one or two climbs included.
Do you know the area at all? I can direct you out onto the Bottelary rd, then you can do a fairly flattish out and back route.

edit = see you don't know the area. Where you gonna stay?

Thanks
My Garmin takes me to the gust house (Cape Country Cottage) and it is fairly easy to get onto the free way again to get to the start. So I fully rely on my Garmin to take me where I need to go.
Wanted to create a route on my 705.

Addres for Cape Country Cottage? Then we can see how easy / difficult it is to get onto Bottelary rd from there. Might even be able to mapmyride it for you.
