Can anyone recommend a good book on triathlon training? I want something that has programs for specific events, eg Ironman events and also off-season programs and gym workouts specifically designed for triathletes.

If you go to the TSA website Fit Track have a link there which claim to have such programmes
The truth hurts, maybe not as much as sitting on a bicycle without a seat, but it still hurts.

If you want a book that gives you specific programs already laid out for your try Iron Fit by Don Fink. If you want to learn about training and formulating your own programs try Going Long or the Triathlete's Training Bible. Both are by Joe Friel.

I would suggest Don Fink's Book, also have Triathlete's Bible by Friel and find that Fink's book reads easier. But if u want to do it properly then go Friel.
