Just been reading a story from the Argus about the motorists who helped foil a bijkejacking in Kayamandi. Jaapie Haarmse was set upon by three "youths" as he headed home. At least three cars stopped at the scene. and Conrad and Sandy Koen gave him and his bike a lift home.

Will post a link when I find one.

I would love a heading like this...'Bike muggers driven over and killed when running off with a bike...' or something like that....

Awesome about the people helping others!

Well done to Conrad and Sadny Koen and the other motorist that assisted.
i wish that criminals note that the public will help and next time they wont be so lucky in getting away !!!

"Harmse did not lay charges with the police."

And will probably complain when the police do nothing.

Yeah, stupid move! I want there to be patrols along that stretch, but unless there is enough charges laid, the police will do nothing.

Well done passing motorists for stopping! :thumbup:

I solemly promise that if I drive past such a situation....AND if possible...I will do the following:
(1) Drive my bakkie right over said hijacker and (unfortunately) bicycle!! {we'll sort out that issue afterwards}
Bacon and Eggs - Think about it...a days work for the chicken...and a lifetime commitment for the pig!
