Dropped them an email and no reply. Called on 17 Jan and the phone went to voicemail saying "back on 9th Jan", figure they just hadn't changed message yet and left message with number and mentioned old message. No call back (maybe I didn't say my number clearly enough).
Will drive past next time I'm down that way - just wondering if anyone knows if something happened and they're not open?

Phew - good news - looks like a Telkom glitch was to blame. Got this from William today:
"I am finally getting through my list of emails and enquiries after having been without Telkom lines (incl ADSL) for the last week or so. My apologies for the silence."
