Happened around 5am on Sunday Morning, heard it was just outside the youngsfield base ,crazy as there is a huge shoulder with yellow line and then a cycle lane as well.
Cyclist (Mahier) was knocked and just left lying there and is in very bad state.

This is just infuriating!!!
Its one thing for an accident to happen, but it is completely unacceptable for the driver to disappear afterwards. The cyclist could die because the driver is too scared to take responsibility!
I really hope they find and nail this guy. And I really hope the cyclist recovers and recovers quickly.

Not good to hear! Hope he recovers guys, really.
But no surprise re the HUGE shoulder AND yellow line.
At 5bells on Sunday morning, and the driver bolted. I can pretty much bet my left nut that he was pissed!

any word on the rider? Reading this thread on the most recent cycling fatality, made me wonder about this fallen rider. I hope he is on the path to recovery.
