Deciding between these 3 to purchase. Which one is best, any other suggestions are welcome. My riding is recreational, but fast single track riding is what I ride most.

As the three biggest selling value brands there won't be much difference between their value offering.
Rather pick a good bike shop in your area to buy one from.

I think the scott comes with 110 travel and 120 in front, should make good for trails. But why do you want to get a xc race bike when you enjoy trails? get a trance, or any other 5' bike, much more worth it if you dont race

Went with the Anthem. Good compromise, racey yet comfortable on trails.

Out of those three the Anthem gets the ravest reviews, Scott gets the worst reviews, and If you consider the scott, make sure you have 4k extra too rip out that dtswisscheese at the back and replace it with RS or FOX. Merida, well thats just a girls bike

If racing's your game- the 96's your bike.
