Its a bit difficult to see the distances and accent on the images. I am correct that for the 75 it is about 2600m and for the 40 it is about 1500?

In one place on the web site it says:
"This route [Ultra Marathon] is a combination of the challenging marathon (2120m over 73km) and the half marathon (950m over 38km)."
And on google maps the climbing figures are different. I realise that there might be a discrepancy, but over 500m discrepancy?
I have friends doing the half marathon that are terrified considering the accent has gone up from around 900m last year to a whopping 1502m this year.
Could you please clear this up? are the figures accurate and if so has the climbing increased significantly form last year?
Thanks
Rob

WTF Tim, you guys trying to kill us?? Hahaha
We doing Mamba on the first climb? And what are the cut-offs like for the Ultra? This route looks intense, but I dont mind the time in the saddle, but I guess your marshalls mind the time in the bush

Blokes like me!!! ... and the blokes that are manning the timing station waiting for some poor rider to complete the Ultra in about 11 hours instead of the intended 6.

I've marshalled in the bush and stood at the finish line waiting for gramps to finish a 6hour 30km, and you have nothing to complain about. Between the heat and the sheer boredom marshalling is HARD WORK!!!

The course is similar to previous years so riders dont have to stress to much.
* Due to the severe rains that Sabie experienced 2 weeks ago, certain sections of the route might still be changed.
