Can anybody give me more info on the SA MTB Champs? Will it be one event or will there be a series of events. What distance will there be competed in (75km, 45km).I went onto the SA cycling site but can’t find any details.

There will be a series and an event. As I understand it CSA is running the XCO series again next year and will be in charge of the XCM champs which is one race. The MTN series goes on as usual hosted by advendurance

SA champs is a once off, one day event for XCO and XCM(same as with World Champs).

There is also a National series of XCO and XCM events. There are 4 events in the national XCO series and 8 events in the national XCM series.
As far as I know the SA champs XCO will be at Mankele, in July.

For XCM check out avendurance.com
For XCO check out cyclingsa.com (there is a calender with all the events).

For anyone who has done our XC trails at Mankele before, don't expect the same track. There has been a huge change; the track is only 5.8km long. You still do the dog of a climb all the way to the tunnel but not through the tunnel. Down Burry's rock garden which now has a extended boardwalk with a drop off.
Another little heart rate climb & then behind the cabins as always to the tech zone near the finish and then back out for the second loop of the lap. Fast flowing single track, with a few drop offs and a few steep embankments.

Come check it out! :nuke:

I saw an announcement by Advendurance that the MTN Gravel Travel race in Wellington will serve as SA XCM champs this year.

I'm going to Mankele this weekend. They're unveiling the SA Champs course at the Mpu Provincials this saturday. I hear it's quite wicked!

Hi Mr Nature, now that the XCO course has been unvailed will we be able to come through any time to check it out?

Thanks,
Wendell
