where are the "baby jumps" where you can practice to play on the big gap jumps? In the bike park, spruit and all these places there are a lot of wuss jumps, but then its a 10X increase when you get to the biiiig jumps?

where do you guys practice?

and what is the limit of jumps that you can do with a standard 26' MTB with pedal clips and a normal height saddle?
hoe vinniger jy agter raak, hoe meer tyd het jy om op te vang!

There's still a beginner (tabletop) line at the bike park, as well as an intermediate gap line. As for the spruit... I guess the scout hall jumps are the ones bewteen the wuss jumpa and the beeeg ones (DHL). But this december I plan on spending some time on thespruit with my spade. There's toons-and-tons of new dirt at the hurlingham jump line. Think we might make another line there. Maybe DHL will get some expansion too.

We practice at the bike park and the DHL line on the spruit. I sometimes visit the Bryanston scout hall jumps, but they need a revamp.

If you're smooth you can land almost any jump on a Game bicycle. It all depends on how comfortable you feel on your bike, and how smooth you can land it.

As for the clips and "normal saddle height"... clips shouldn't be a prob. If that's what you're used to... and lower your saddle... it only takes a few seconds ;)

hahaha! I knew you'd like this missionS (builder-of-steep-jumps). Your "box jump" on DHL still makes people kak themselves when it kicks... but here's a whole line of your kinda jumps! you should come play!

with promises of reward! I told IntenseBMX (pictured in the first photo) that I would give him ALL my Pick 'n Pay Smart Shopper points (approx 1500) if he tried them out!

Seems like I owe him now!

BTW, Jumps 1, 4 5 on the middle line have had their lips and landings redone and are feeling awesome! Especially the big one (#5)... less chance of me head-planting like I did 2 weeks ago  )

One starts off with small tabletops and work your way up to doubles like these. The most important part of jumping is to stay relaxed.

Being able to DJ must be one of the coolest feelings as for that second you hit the lip and become weightless, feeling the air rush past you to feeling gravity suck you back down. I'm addicted
If I had the means I would definitely quite my day job and just build/ride dirt jumps.

I'm very envious of you okes. I've got a massive fear of heights, so the odds of me doing stuff like this is slim to none. :( But please post some more jump picks. A lot more interesting than reading crap about another twenty naainer. :D
