I have 2 and no regrets. Just shop around for the best price.

Have a look at the Momsen range.Like Silver back, great value for money . No I do not have one ,but if their carbon was available when I bought my flash ,it would have been a tough decision.

Silverback is great value but lacks racing pedigree. It seems that Silverback frames are a bit less high tech and tends to be heavier (may be stronger?). As for Sram vs Shimano I have XT Dynasys and it has super smooth gear changes, and when there is some dirt involved I believe Shimano outperforms Sram. I have full XT except for the brakes which are Avid/Sram and is the weakpoint in the groupset.

I should be getting my Vida 3 in a day or two.............will let you know what I think of it............Shopped around and considered the Merida Big Nine TFS500, but due to the shock(air on Vida 3) and the dealer is putting XT at the back, I decided on the Vida 3. All for Under R 8000.

Hi, I rode the Silverback full sus 29er in the Wines2whales last year and loved it. A really comfortable ride. I was never really a Silverback fan in the past but will now definitely consider buying one.
