As much as I love the Ibis, the Yeti gets my vote here... It's just such an awesome bike, and hailed to be the best thing since the slicing of bread...

Hmmm....just go with the alu Tracer 2? I think the Carbine might be a bit too much on the "trail" side of AM for the type of riding you're into.

Lappiere: thought about it. Very nice bike, but not available as frame only and wouldn't want to get stuck with something that doesn't have proper back up.

Tracer: that is one mean looking bike.
